Teaneck police tell The Record that 76-year-old Clinton Jackson yelled at the 43-year-old man as he walked by Jackson's car in the driveway of the Teaneck home late Sunday night. He then accused the tenant of doing something and stabbed him.

Authorities say there's no evidence that the victim did anything to Jackson or his property. The tenant underwent surgery for wounds and remained hospitalized Monday, but his injuries are not considered life-threatening.

Jackson was charged with aggravated assault and a weapons offense. His bail was set at $15,000, and it was not known Monday night if he has retained a lawyer.
