Lakewoood man charged with stabbing roommate
LAKEWOOD (AP) — A Lakewood man has been charged with stabbing his roommate.
Police in Lakewood tell NJ.com that they arrested 34-year-old Marco Tulio Albarez Lopez on Saturday night when he arrived at his home.
He was charged with aggravated assault and weapons offenses.
Investigators were already there checking out the scene where the man's 25-year-old roommate had been stabbed in the abdomen around 9:15 p.m.
They say they suspected him in part because he had several scratches on his chest, arms and hands and could not explain how he got them.
Authorities have not released that name of the man who was stabbed but say he underwent surgery to repair a punctured diaphragm and was in stable condition.
