His campaign says the news media can review the documents at his headquarters in Middletown.

His opponent, Democratic incumbent Robert Menendez, plans to release his tax returns next week.

Tax returns have been an issue in the presidential election.

Republican Mitt Romney has released his 2010 tax return and has pledged to release his 2011 return before the Nov. 6 election.

Democratic Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has claimed it was possible Romney was refusing to release more because he didn't want to reveal that he hadn't paid taxes.

Romney said that was "totally false" and he paid at least 13 percent in taxes over the past decade.
