Knicks Stifle Boston Again
The New York Knicks are one win away from advancing to the NBA's Eastern Conference semifinals following another stifling performance against the Boston Celtics.
The Knicks allowed just 31 points in the first half and carried a 16-point lead into the break before completing a 90-76 win over the Celtics in Boston. Carmelo Anthony paced the Knicks with 26 points and J.R. Smith added 15 before he was ejected for a flagrant foul early in the fourth quarter. Raymond Felton also had 15 points and a team-high 10 assists for the Knicks, who haven't allowed more than 78 points in any of the first three games of the series.
Jeff Green had a team-high 21 points for the Celtics, while Kevin Garnett added 12 and 17 rebounds.
New York can complete a four-game sweep by winning Sunday in Boston.
