Kittens, McGuire, Desi and Hercules need forever homes [NJ Pets of the Week]

NJ101.5 has partnered with local animal rescue organizations EASEL Animal Rescue League and Friends of EMAS (Edison Municipal Animal Shelter) to feature adoptable local pets in need of homes. Help us find these pets homes by sharing this information with family members and friends who may be interested in adopting a shelter pet.

Adopt Kittens

Kittens, we have kittens! All sizes, all colors and cute as a button. As a result of our TNR efforts we have been bringing in litters of kittens. We provide them with vet care, spay/neuter, vaccinations and socialization through lots of loving care. They are very playful and a joy to be around, always providing lots of smiles and laughs.

Adopt McGuire

McGuire is a Boxer mix that is a bundle of friendly energy. He darts all over the place when you take him out, but eventually walks very nicely. McGuire is very affectionate and loves attention. He's been doing great at training and is very intelligent.

Adopt Desi

Desi is a young, handsome boy pit bull mix who was found as a stray. His coat is a brindle color with a bright, white chest. The first thing you will notice about him is his big pointy ears, almost like a rabbit. Needless to say, Desi is famous here at the shelter because of his adorable ears! He's a very young dog who is very active and full of playful energy. He loves to go on long walks and is always looking to explore the world. Desi is learning to walk on a leash and is working on some commands. He is progressing very nicely and we are proud of how well he is doing. He is very alert and aware of his surroundings and is very interested in the other dogs. Desi would do best in a loving home where training, positive reinforcement, long walks and creative play is part of his daily routine. His true potential would be reached if he were enrolled in a formal training class. A fenced-in yard is preferred.
