Thirty-one-year-old Caesar Canchucaja of Kearny had pleaded guilty in September to knowingly providing false information to authorities.

Federal prosecutors say Canchucaja called the state's Homeland Security and Preparedness office in November 2011 and claimed another person was an associate of an alleged New York City bomb plotter. Canchucaja also said the individual was planning to blow something up in Passaic around 5 p.m. that day.

Authorities investigating the claims did not find any explosive devices.
