NEW BRUNSWICK -- Jury selection will continue this week for the trial of Dharun Ravi, a former Rutgers student accused of using a webcam to spy on his roommate Tyler Clementi's intimate encounter with another man.

Nineteen-year-old Dharun Ravi is charged with crimes including invasion of privacy and bias intimidation, which is punishable by up to 10 years in prison.

The case sparked a national conversation in 2010 about the impact of bullying on young gays after Dharun Ravi's roommate, Tyler Clementi, committed suicide.

Lawyers on Tuesday will dismiss many of the 220 prospective jurors who came to court last week to fill out questionnaires. The dismissals will be based on the answers they gave.

The remainder will be asked to come to court starting Wednesday for deeper questioning.
