A second day of jury deliberations ended Thursday without a verdict in the case of a New Jersey attorney charged in the murder of a federal informant.

Paul Bergrin is accused of murder conspiracy and aiding and abetting the murder of a witness. The well-known defense attorney once represented entertainers such as Lil' Kim and Queen Latifah. He represented himself in this trial.

Jurors are expected to resume deliberations in Newark federal court Friday. On Thursday, they asked to review portions of trial testimony.

Bergrin was arrested in 2009 and charged with a litany of offenses, including money laundering and drug dealing.

Prosecutors have portrayed Bergrin as a participant in his clients' illegal activities and say he ordered the informant killed to save himself from exposure.
