Judi — ‘With addiction, YOU created it, YOU can beat it’

I got so much so many negative emails and posts related to my "addiction is not a disease" article and I'm still incredulous as to why.

It seems such common sense to me. Simply taking the power away from addicts by calling their addiction a disease. Remember, just because groups of doctors classify something doesn't mean they can't be wrong, or change their minds. For example, the diagnoses of Aspergers and PDD-NOS no longer exist. Neither does the classification of Homosexuality as a mental illness.
