Judi teaches you how to make homemade kind bars (Watch)
My partner Dennis Malloy isn't the only one who can cook around here. As I was saying on the show today, I bake these very healthy and tasty kind bars that you will absolutely love! Here's my recipe with all the ingredients below and you can watch my video on how I put the entire desert together above. Enjoy!
Preheat oven to 325•
2 cups chopped nuts
1/3 cup chopped dried fruit
1/8 tsp salt
2 T shredded unsweetened coconut
1/4 cup brown rice syrup (available at health food stores)
Handful of crumbled rice cakes
(Sometimes I also add 1 T sesame seeds)
Mix all ingredients together in a medium bowl.When combined, place in a 9x9 (or slightly larger) glass baking dish, lined with a piece of foil sprayed with cooking spray. Press to flatten mixture with either wet hands or another piece of sprayed foil.
Bake 18 min.
Allow to cool completely. Cut into squares and enjoy!
Makes about 10 bars
