Judi Franco’s Low-Carb Chili Recipe
There's nothing like a good chili recipe, especially when the weather is so volatile.
A lot of listeners have been asking for Judi's low-carb chili recipe since she mentioned it on the air the other day. Here is the recipe below:
Judi Franco's Low-Carb Chili Recipe
- I lb ground turkey
- 2 jars mild salsa
- 1 green pepper chopped
- 1 small onion chopped
- 1 clove minced garlic
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4-1/2 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 Tb oregano
- 1/4 c olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Sauteé onion and pepper in olive oil til soft. Add garlic. Add turkey and brown breaking up with fork. When browned,add salsa and spices..salt and pepper to taste.
Cook, on low to medium heat stirring occasionally for 20-30 minutes or until cooked through.
