Judi Franco finishes her do-it-yourself staircase project

My staircase project. Done. For those of you following along, I've shown the project in stages.

I'm so happy it's over, especially since I would've sworn it would've taken two hours, but it took two weeks instead. Not difficult but painstaking especially around those balusters. I'm so dumb. I should've gotten a complete before pic, but you can see the color of the hideous golden oak in the pathway I left in the middle.

I'm pretty happy with it, but like all home improvement projects, now everything else looks like crap in comparison! So next the walls get a fresh coat of white, and console/dresser to the right of the stairs is gonna be my next paint victim.
