Seriously? There's no need to go any further than New Jersey for an absolutely perfect fall day filled with fun, great weather and an awesome selection of stuff to do. Case in point; Red Bank yesterday and it's outstanding Oyster Festival.

It's an absolutely not-to-be-missed experience and I'm sorry I didn't realize that it was happening before, so that I could have told you all to get your butts there. My morning started at the newest branch of the amazing breakfast brunch place "Toast", which we were lucky enough to get into without the usual wait. Then we made our way over to Greenstreet to do some secondhand shopping. (Not to mention selling them a bunch of my old stuff!) and then finally the highlight of the day, Oyster Fest 2016.

It was, in a word, staggering. The amazing sights and sounds and tastes that proliferated from that square block in Red Bank made us feel lucky to be New Jerseyans. I couldn't help doing my happy dance especially after hearing Remember Jones, a band I've never heard before but I will definitely seek out again (I can't resist a good horn section!) You better not miss this next year!
