Judge Freezes Most Assets of NJ Vacation Travel Club
A judge has frozen most of the assets of a Bergen County-based vacation travel club that allegedly defrauded dozens of consumers by failing to provide promised promotional cruises, airfares and discounts.
The ruling against Global Travel Solutions LLC came Tuesday, a day after the state filed a five-count civil lawsuit against the firm and its owner, Jason Krieck. The suit also seeks temporary restraining orders barring the firm from advertising for or selling memberships, and it must file a response to that request by April 6.
Under the judge's order, the company can only spend $3,500 a month for salaries and overhead expenses.
A message left for the firm, which has offices in Montvale and Haddonfield, was not returned Tuesday night. A phone number for Krieck could not be located.
