Jon Bon Jovi’s Son to Try Out for Notre Dame Football Team
In what could be the Jersey version of Rudy, Jesse Bongiovi, son of Jon Bon Jovi, intends to walk on to the Notre Dame football team.
The former Poly Prep Country Day (Brooklyn) football and lacrosse standout, who was in South Bend this weekend for the spring game, plans to walk on to the Irish’s football squad as a freshman in the fall
Jesse’s father’s affection for Notre Dame was cemented when fellow New Jersey native Charlie Weis landed the head coaching job in South Bend, but its foundations were built before that, he’s remained a fan even after Weis’ tenure and will likely be an even bigger supporter moving forward.
Perhaps he could play “Living On a Prayer” at halftime if his son makes the team. Then again wasn’t he supposed to do a free concert if his Philadelphia Soul won the championship which they did in 2008.
