I can’t believe it was 35 years ago today that John Lennon was silenced by an assassin’s bullets. Former Beatle George Harrison describes Lennon’s murderer as ‘The man who’s name we must never mention.” Regardless of that both CNN and Barbara Walters have done specials featuring Lennon’s killer who told Walters that he though that by killing Lennon, he would acquire his fame.

If it were up to me, none of these killers would ever be mentioned. No one should become famous for taking the life of someone else. I don’t need to know the bio of a killer, not looking for old pictures, not looking to give them glory in any way. I’ll save that glory for the person who’s life they took.

Do you think a killer's name should ever be mentioned?
