ATLANTIC CITY -- Tourism officials in Atlantic City hope Jimmy Buffett can start to turn around a summer of headlines about casino strikes and another closing.

Buffett will perform on the struggling resort's beach for tens of thousands of fans Saturday. The concert is the first of four big-name beach concerts over the next three weeks, along with next week's Atlantic City Airshow.

The president of Meet AC tells the Press of Atlantic City that the city needs to get as much positive press out of the events as it can considering the summer of negative news.

Workers at the Trump Taj Mahal casino have been on strike since July 1, and the casino announced last week it will close in October. It will be the fifth casino to close since 2014.
