A new bill cuts to the core of political correctness by attempting to eliminate words like "addict" and "handicapped" from state laws because they could be considered offensive. 

Lawmakers in support of the change are calling this language "pejorative and archaic." They say a change in wording will help establish that "all people are unique and that each person brings value to society and their community," according to a report by NJ.com.
