Storybook Ending - It's been a lovefest between Derek Jeter and baseball fans all season long and last night, after the retiring Yankee Captain got the walkoff hit in the Bronx, he showed his appreciation.

The Yankees aren't going to the playoffs, but Jeter says he will play in Boston this weekend to end the regular season. However, he said Thursday night was his last game at shortstop.

Risky on the Road- A new poll finds many New Jersey residents get nervous when they're a passenger in a car and the driver engages in a risky behavior. But when those passengers get behind the wheel themselves, they do the same types of unsafe things.

iPhone Glitches - Apple has released a new update it says will repair the problems caused by its iPhone software, the update was released Wednesday. Analysts say a glitch in the software left some users of the new iPhones unable to make calls. Apple has apologized and says it's working non-stop to fix any problems.

Students Suspended - A sex scandal at Rowan has led the university to suspend two members of the Taui Kappa Epsilon fraternity. The two frat brothers are accused of producing a sex video, and posting it online. It appears everyone involved was over 18 and the act was consensual but the university is still investigating...

Substance Abuse Help for Tweens - Transitioning out of middle school can be a stressful time in a kid's life and unfortunately a lot of teen's first start abusing alcohol and drugs when they get to high school. One lawmaker wants schools to implement substance abuse prevention curriculum for eighth grade students.

Shaneen Allen Solution - The long ordeal for Shaneen Allen is over. A judge has signed her pretrial intervention order sparing her from any jail time. She is the single mom from Philadelphia who admitted she had a gun when she was stopped by a state trooper. She had a permit to carry in Pa. but the gun was still illegal in New Jersey. Allen said she just wanted to run out of the building an celebrate with her kids.

Attack Imminent? - The Iraqi Prime Minister says ISIS is plotting an attack on our subways and the threat may be imminent. The Iraqi government says that was revealed by captured Islamic State Terrorists. But U.S. intelligence officials say they have no such information. Just this week, Governor Christie and New York Governor Cuomo announced beefed up security on trains and at rail stations.

Still Waiting for Sandy Help - Almost 2 years after Sandy boardwalks have been rebuilt and dunes have been replenished, but some business and homeowners in areas hard hit by the Superstorm are still waiting for financial help...

Pension Warning - We are getting a look this morning at the impact of public pensions on future state budgets. A preliminary report warns of a $90 billion drain on taxpayers. A panel created by the governor recommends reforms but does not get into specifics. Governor Christie and Democrats in the legislature remain at a stalemate on any future reforms.

New Ray Rice Development -  A law enforcement source is confirming that he sent the video of rice slugging his fiance in a revel elevator to NFL security chief Jeffery Miller in April. Miller has denied he ever received it or watched it. The timing of when the league had the video has been an issue in the ongoing scandal.

Distracted on Two Wheels- In addition to distracted drivers and pedestrians bicyclsts are now texting.

Holder Quits - Attorney General Eric Holder says he won't leave his position until his replacement is confirmed. Holder announced his resignation Thursday, after leading the Justice Department since the first days of President Barack Obama's term. Holder aggressively enforced the voting rights act, addressed drug-sentencing guidelines that led to disparities between white and black convicts and extended legal benefits to same-sex couples.

History Reopens - Starting on Wednesday the Ellis Island Hospital Complex will be opened to the public for the first time in 60 years. The complex features 29 unrestored buildings including a massive laundry room. Janis Calella of Save Ellis Island says over 1 million immigrants received medical care at the complex between 1901 and 1954.

Stay Sober or Else - Former “Jersey Shore” cast member Mike Sorrentino has been ordered to stay sober and stay close to home as a condition of his release on bail for tax evasion charges. A judge says the situation cannot drink and cannot travel beyond New York and New Jersey. He is facing hard prison time for failing to pay taxes on almost $9 million of income.

Snake Eyes - We know there are those who want casinos at the Meadowlands and now there's a proposal to build a casino in Jersey City. One political expert says any casino outside of Atlantic City would involve a lot of deals being cut and the public would have to back the plan and that's not a sure bet.

Trump's Return - Donald Trump says he has not yet decided if he will make a bid to buyback the Atlantic City casinos that bear his name but in the meantime, he still wants his name taken off the buildings. If he does buy them, he claims he would fix them up to the highest standard but also said he does not have high hopes for Atlantic City as a gaming market...

Toll Free Tuesday - The Atlantic City Expressway is offering free rides on Tuesdays in October. Toll free Tuesdays are part of a wider fall marketing campaign.
