Not only are "Rainbow Full Of Sound" one of the best "Grateful Dead" tribute bands out there, they also do great original music. Here's "Crazy Ally" which was recorded at the New Jersey 101.5 studios.

Rainbow Full of Sound emerged in 2013 as one of the country's favorite upcoming Grateful Dead tribute bands founded by Keyboardist Waynard Scheller. The Band Includes a Rotating Cast of Over 30 Musicians who add to the rotating lineups and special guest appearances which have Included Grateful Dead founder (Bob Weir) and others, performing a mixture of Grateful Dead and original music.

Waynard has performed multiple times with Grateful Dead members (Bob Weir and Donna Jean Godchaux) also with members of Bob Weir’s Band (RatDog) as well as with members of Furthur, Hot Tuna and many others, with (3) North American tours In 2015 and 2016 on keyboards with the John Kadlecik Band.

The band is commonly a 6-7 piece band ( often with double drummers ) However, the downscaled (4) piece Line-up for the September 2017 performance on New Jersey 101.5 Included : Waynard Scheller ( Keyboards and Vocals ) Eric Cohen ( Guitar and Vocals ) Paul Avrutin ( Bass Guitar and Vocals ) Dan Donovan ( Drums )

For the past few years Waynard has been gearing up to record the new CD Titled “ American Hippie “ ( To be released in November of 2017 ) which Includes (8) original tracks written by Waynard. The music has a new sound but is influenced by bands like “ Grateful Dead / Allman Brothers / Pink Floyd / Steely Dan / Bruce Horsby and more…
