This week we check out Rake Breaker, a Northeast style IPA from Jersey Girl Brewing in Hackettstown. This tropical fruit bomb of an IPA is brewed with oats and dry hopped with Mosiac and Amarillo, making a uniquely drinkable and wonderfully fruity beer. It's another great example of how New Jersey breweries are getting it right.

The beer is also unique in the amount of malt and grain that is used in the recipe. In fact it uses so much grain that Rake Breaker got its name after the brewery's lauter tun rake broke during their test batch. As we said in the video we noticed some really interesting characteristics in this one, probably from the fact that it uses oats and so much grain.

It was a very interesting and delicious IPA. We really enjoyed trying Rake Breaker and think you will too. Definitely seek this one out this summer and enjoy!
