Leighann Lord is a very funny lady whom I worked with at a fundraiser for the Knights of Columbus in Whitehouse Station.

Among her many credits are Comedy Central and the famed Apollo Theatre where she appeared the night before. While we were in the green room waiting for the show to go on, we starting talking Jersey and how she feels about coming to the Garden State.

"I always loved coming to Jersey because of the Jersey gas, I'd float into Jersey on "E" because of the Jersey gas and now it's different because you guys have the gas tax," she told me.

She then joked about Gov. Chris Christie, asking: "How much more money do you need to feed your governor? But the saving grace is that someone still pumps it for me so I still get to feel like royalty...so thank you for that, Jersey."
