Jersey City vigil held to honor Orlando victims
Hundreds of people wearing rainbow-colored ribbons, waving rainbow flags and carrying candles have gathered in Jersey City to honor the victims of the mass shooting at a gay nightclub in Orlando.
Speakers at Tuesday night's vigil read the names of the 49 victims.
Some in attendance also wore cards with the names, sang songs and held their candles high in the air to pay tribute to the victims and survivors. Others carried signs calling for peace and love.
Sunday's attack has spurred vigils across the country, giving people a way to express their grief and anger, and support for the LGBT community.
It was the worst mass shooting in modern U.S. history.
