JERSEY CITY — A Hudson County school teacher has been charged with harassing and inappropriately touching at least three students.

Francisco Pereira, 31, of North Arlington, was arrested last Friday and charged with three counts of criminal sexual contact, two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, two counts of harassment, and one count of luring or enticing a child.

Pereira is a teacher at County Prep High School, which is part of the Hudson County Schools of Technology.

The investigation started with a complaint by a 19-year-old student, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said Friday.

Pereira is accused of asking one of the girls to show up wearing nothing but a trench coat, according to an NJ.com report that cited court records. Prosecutors also allege that he sent explicit text messages to at least one of the girls and touched one of the girl's butts.
