Jersey City authorities arrested a female resident Monday night, four days after she allegedly hit and killed a local cyclist in the street.

Neteria Augcomfar, 24, is charged with reckless driving, leaving the scene of an accident, and leaving the scene of an accident that resulted in death.

According to a press release, police confirmed that Augcomfar was the driver of the 2008 silver Volkswagen Jetta spotted fleeing the scene Thursday night.

The victim, 34-year-old Natalia R. Caicedo, sustained heavy trauma to the body and head. She succumbed to her injuries just 24 minutes prior to police arresting the driver.

Caicedo was riding her bike in the northbound lane of Marin Boulevard.
