Gregory Stone also faces weapons charges in the stabbing, which occurred early Wednesday.

Hudson County prosecutors tell The Jersey Journal (http://bit.ly/110ANad) that the victim suffered multiple stab wounds during an attack spurred by a dispute between the two men. They say the 25-year-old Stone apparently lived with the victim, but would not say if the stabbing occurred in their apartment.

Further details on the slaying were not disclosed. Authorities would not disclose the victim's name because they were still notifying his family members.

Stone was being held on $250,000 bail. It was not known if he has retained an attorney.
