Jersey City Employee Faces Prostitution Charge

Two police officers say they observed 47-year-old George Reyes of North Arlington pull over and talk with 48-year-old Rose Doria of Jersey City around 6 p.m. Wednesday.

The Jersey Journal reports police followed the vehicle after Doria got in.

Doria told police Reyes agreed to give her $15 in exchange for oral sex. Reyes told officers he was planning to negotiate with Doria but changed his mind after the deal was made.

Reyes makes about $57,000 a year as a parks supervisor.

Reyes and Doria are charged with loitering to engage in prostitution. Reyes also is charged with unlawfully taking by means of conveyance because he wasn't authorized to have the vehicle.
