Jersey City Cop Hurt When Cruiser Hits Parked Car

A Jersey City police officer has been hospitalized after his cruiser struck a parked car on a city street.

But it’s still not clear what caused Tuesday morning’s crash on Brunswick Street, between Fifth and Sixth streets. And the officer’s name and details on his injuries have not been disclosed.

Witnesses tell The Jersey Journal that the cruiser struck the back of the parked car, causing heavy damage to both vehicles. A third vehicle, which was parked in front of the car, also sustained some damage.

No other injuries were reported in the accident.
