We recently had Jim Raffone, the President of JAR of Hope in studio to discuss all he is doing to bring awareness to a very rare disease.

Jim's son Jamesy, was diagnosed with Duchenne's back in 2013. Ducjenne's is a rare mutation of the dystrophin gene that results in severe muscle degeneration.DMD affects about 300,000 boys a year, with 20,000 being affected in the United States.  Jim has made it his mission to bring awareness and funding to DMD. As Jim told us on air, losing his son "is not an option."

The passion and effort that James exudes is unparalleled. You can tell when he speaks about DMD, that he is giving every ounce of effort, every day, to help find a cure. To learn about DMD and how you can help visit Jar of Hope's website.
