"That was stressful. It was a tremendous game. A tremendous game to be a part of," manager Rob Grano said about Holbrook's closest game yet at the Mid-Atlantic Tournament.

Chris Cartnick was the hero of the game by going 3-for-3 with two home runs and a grand slam in the fifth inning that sealed the win for Holbrook. "He's come through for us for many years, and he had quite the day today," Grano saod.

Tai Mann pitched three innings, allowing two runs, one hit, and striking out eight.

Holbrook could take on Upper Providence again in the championship game. Their opponent will be determined in a game on Friday night.

There's no celebrating for Holbrook until Saturday, according to Grano. "This is nice, and it's great to get to the (championship) game but we haven't won anything yet."

The team will practice, watch some of the other games, and be rested for Saturday. "We're excited about the opportunity but we know haven't done anything yet. We've just given ourselves a chance so far."

The winner of Saturday's game advances to the Little League World Series Tournament in Williamsport, PA.
