Is the Starbucks ‘Race Together’ campaign going too far? – Poll
Starbucks is making waves with a controversial new campaign that pairs signature coffees with a conversation about race.
With the ongoing race discussion happening right now throughout the country, Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz is stirring up even more controversy with its newest company initiative, 'Race Together,' according to the Los Angeles Times. Baristas are encouraged, but not required, to write 'Race Together' on coffee cups handed to customers.
While some people have applauded the company's steps to participate in the country's race debate, many people think the campaign is taking things too far. Dennis and Michele both think it's inappropriate to ask about race in the middle of a transaction. Most people are just trying to go to work and don't have the time or the energy to expend on such heavy topics.
