Is the Bikini Going Bye Bye?

There are going to be many surprises at the beaches this summer and we’re not just talking about the aftermath of Superstorm Sandy. It’s looking like the bikini’s days appear to be numbered.

Could the bikini soon be history?

Designers such as Michael Kors, Chanel’s Karl Lagerfeld and Norma Kamali are all celebrating the one piece swimsuit, like the post article says “With nary a bikini in sight”

How and why is this happening? Do one pieces with cutouts and camouflage give a sexier look than the two piece that hides virtually nothing? (and amounts to pretty much the same;)  Has the target demo gotten bigger and thus have to hide their curves (or lack there of ) or has the pendulum just swung the other way for a while and the bikini will be back.  Which do you prefer?  Please take our poll
