Our listener John K. Kriger recently shared about his book, "Turned On and Tuned Out," which explains how technology dependence creates social disconnection in society. Kriger argues that while technology is beneficial, extensive connection can cause relational and mental health issues like depression, among other problems.

Constant texting, for example, can isolate someone if a texter is more invested in what's happening on their phone than who and what is around them.
