Is Obesity a Disease? [POLL]

Dennis and Judi have been discussing this topic today and want your opinion.

Based on the news that the AMA has voted to recognize obesity as a disease, Dennis and Judi wanted to know if being overweight is a legitimate disease or if, for the most part, is weight something that can be controlled with stronger self-control?

The AMA has said that the decision to classify obesity as a disease because of the recent "obesity epidemic." But is obesity really even an epidemic or is it just a growing number of people that have given up on taking care of themselves and decided the government should take care of them instead?
