A NJ Senate panel advanced a bill today that would let gamblers sign up for a list that would prevent them from gambling.

New Jersey keeps a list of self-admitted gamblers that have a problem and who essentially bar themselves from gambling by putting their name on it.

The new legislation would allow gamblers who may or may nor realize they have a problem, to sign up anonymously.

But Jim wonders, is a bill such as this really worth it? If they're putting their name on a list to ban them from competitive gaming, aren't they admitting they have a problem by doing so? The NJ casinos would be aware that you are banned from gaming, so how anonymous would it be really?

Take the poll below and let us know if you think this bill is a good idea or not.
