Prosecutors say a man convicted in a shooting that left one man dead and another seriously injured is now facing a lengthy prison term.

A Union County jury found Antwan Horton guilty of reckless manslaughter and aggravated assault. The charges stem from a 2008 shooting in Elizabeth.

County prosecutors say Horton had gone to the city that day because his girlfriend and young child had been robbed there at gunpoint earlier in the day. The 35-year-old Irvington man soon confronted the two shooting victims on a porch at a city home and demanded information about the robbery.

A verbal argument ensued before Horton and another gunman fired nearly a dozen shots at the victims.

Prosecutors say there's no evidence either shooting victim was involved in the robbery.
