Internet Gambling And Other Bills To Be Considered Tomorrow

Barring employers and colleges from requiring people to turn over their social media user names and passwords, authorizing Internet gaming in New Jersey, banning unsolicited text messaging ads and promoting green jobs top tomorrow’s Assembly committee agendas.

The top legislation scheduled to be considered includes; A 2-bill package sponsored by John Burzichelli to prohibit employers and higher education institutions from asking people to disclose their social media user names and passwords; a bill sponsored by Assemblymen Burzichelli, Vincent Prieto and Ruben Ramos Jr. to authorize Internet gaming via Atlantic City casinos; legislation sponsored by Assemblyman Paul Moriarty and Ramos Jr. to prohibit the sending of unsolicited advertising by text messaging; a bill sponsored by Burzichelli and Assemblyw2oman Connie Wagner to authorize placing horse racing wagers using mobile gaming devices at in-state racetracks and; a measure sponsored by Assemblyman Reed Gusciora (D-Mercer/Hunterdon) to establish a police, firefighter and teacher home buying assistance program to encourage them to live in the communities they serve.
