Arawak Paving Inc. has begun preliminary work on the $2.6 million project which includes sign installation and milling operations near the Route 31 Interchange in East Amwell.

The project will mill and resurface Route 202 southbound with a new surface course of asphalt pavement from milepost 6.8 in East Amwell through West Amwell to milepost 0.4 in Lambertville.  The work will repair the deficient roadway, improve motorist safety and extend the lifespan of the pavement along the full width of the roadway at each location.

Construction will take place during overnight and off-peak hours in an effort to minimize traffic impacts on Route 202. The project is expected to be completed by early fall 2013.
