Trump was asked at a campaign event in South Carolina about ways The United States can use social media to counter Islamic State militants.

He responded by talking about his own prolific use of Twitter and Facebook.

Trump said if he's elected to the White House, he'll be sure to tone down his messages.

He said, "If you become president it has to be toned down a lot. I fully understand that."
