Over the past few weeks, I binge watched all 5 seasons of Six Feet Under. Yes, I know. I was incredibly late to this party, lol. I never watched it when it was on a decade ago but my wife was a huge fan. She talked it up to me telling me how much I would love it. Once Jack and Mina went to Florida for the summer I gave in, thinking nothing could ever replace my favorite show of all time which had been Homicide: Life On The Street.

That all changed. Six Feet Under became my favorite show. I absorbed all five years of it in a bit over 3 weeks. Its creator Alan Ball is a genius. He and the rest of the writers and actors did what no other show has ever done for me. Made me feel extreme love as well as extreme hate for most of the characters at different times. That's not easy to do, yet how true to life can that sometimes be? He also came the closest anyone ever has in making sense of why we die. The character Nate at one point was being told by a grieving person that they didn't understand why people had to die. He said, so very simply, we have to die so that our lives matter.

While I had heard years before about how the series finale went through the future deaths of each main character, it was still amazing to see. Now that I've seen it, I have to say in my humble opinion this has to be the finest work on television of all time.

Bill and I have taken calls on air on this sort of thing in the past, but here's your chance to tell us what your favorite television show was and write as much or as little as you'd like to about why it was so great. Use the comment section below. Don't be shy! We'd love to hear your opinions and so would others.
