How We Talked in the 80s [VIDEO]

If you’re going to “veg out” this weekend and are “stoked” to watch football “to the max,” chances are you’re a child of the 80s.  What are some words you used all of the time in the 80s? According to this report from MTV it was all “street jargon.” Many of these words and phrases originated in California and spread across the country quickly.

Some referred to it as “valley girl” talk thanks to Moon Zappa’s 1982 “Valley Girl” release. “Groovy” became “rad” and it’s amusing to read and watch what many called “slang” back in the the day compared to today.
