Whenever the topic of same sex marriage comes up, the counter argument usually comes from a religious standpoint. Those against argue vehemently based on their beliefs.

How much do you pray?

With this being Passover week, and Easter Sunday coming this weekend, you would think prayer would be high on the list of things to do. But how much of a priority is it really? How often do you pray?  How much do you believe what you’re saying - or better yet what you’re praying?

There are those who believe we don't pray enough. An estimated 3000 people gathered at Independence Hall In Philadelphia in 2012 for a giant prayer meeting. America for Jesus 2012 declares that we are “one nation under God and the Rev Billy Wilson who organized the event said “The U.S. is in a spiritual drift that must be turned around.”

Do you feel that way? Do you feel that we are drifting way from God in whatever form you worship? Newark Mayor Cory Booker caught heat at the Democratic National Convention for leaving God off the platform calling the omission “unfortunate”. State Senate President Steve Sweeney commented “It’s unfortunate that those mistakes were made, but we don’t live in a perfect world” Maybe that’s why ;)  just sayin…

If you come from a family of any kind of faith, you’re taught from a very young age to pray. You sit in your place of worship and you hear how great God is and how he can help you in everyday life. How much of that advice do you put that in practice?

Personally I pray everyday.  There is a verse in the bible Ephesians 3:20 which reads

“Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.”

When I look at my life, my family, my job, this is waaaaay more than I could have ever asked or thought and that’s why I pray, because I have seen the results in my own life. How about you?  Regardless of what religion you are or what you believe in, How much do you pray?  Please take our poll..
