A recent Quinnipiac University poll asked more than 1,500 U.S. voters to describe President Trump using just one word. The results? A mixed bag. If you despise him, you have a lot of company. If you adore him, you have a lot of company. There are over 170,000 words in the English language, so when you ask 1,500 people an awful lot of words will come up. But the ones that were repeated most often and made the top 10 are as follows.

1. "Strong," 64 times
2. "Idiot," 59 times
3. "Incompetent," 58 times
4. "Liar," 50 times
5. "President," 49 times
6. "Racist," 29 times
7. "Leader," 27 times
8. "Unqualified," 26 times
9. "A--hole," 24 times
10. "Arrogant," 21 times

We wanted to see what people right here in New Jersey would say. Since Trump's approval rating is under 40% we thought it would be interesting to also see how New Jerseyans would describe their own governor using just one word since Christie's approval rating is about half of Trump's. I predicted that Trump would have a mix of positive and negative and that Christie's would be almost entirely negative. Boy was I right.

The results in no particular order:

Trump in one word:

narcissist
Twitter
disrespected
maverick
Hitler
douche
patriotic
unfiltered
jackass
deplorable
lunatic
smart
leader

Christie in one word:

despicable
bloviator
jerk
turd
beached
blind
gasbag
disappointment
blowhole
expired
underachiever
bum
