Cops find dozens of underage drinkers at Monmouth house party — arrest hosts
OCEAN TOWNSHIP (Monmouth) — They partied too hard and got nabbed by police who were originally responding to a noise complaint, officials say.
Upon arrival at the Elberon Boulevard home in the Oakhurst section around 4:40 p.m. Saturday, police said they found two minors drinking alcohol. Police then arrested the two men hosting the party.
Officer John Goncalves says he saw many party-goers consuming alcoholic beverages — 22 of them were under the legal age.
Diego Martinez, 20, of Union City, and Peter Skrypczak, 20, of Ridgewood, are charged with providing alcohol to minors, and being in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
They were also issued township ordinance violations for underage consumption of alcoholic beverages.
Martinez and Skrypczak were released on criminal summonses pending a future court appearance.
