Hopewell Twp. parents want a say in school’s transgender policies
One of the big issues that faces schools in NJ is the vocal minority clamoring for gender neutral bathrooms. In several cases school boards have pushed back, saying there was no need for a specific policy for one or two students.
One school district involved in the discussion is Hopewell. We'll be joined by a parent/advocate and reporter, Kevin Mooney, this morning. Parents are frustrated because an outside advocacy group like Garden State Equality is having a say in the policies, yet parents aren't. Shouldn't it be that both parties have a say here, if anything?
