National Nurses Week runs every year May 6-12. It's a time to acknowledge, honor, and celebrate the extraordinary and often thankless work that nurses do for us.

Sponsored by the American Nurses Association, this year's theme is "Nursing: the Balance of Mind, Body, and Spirit." Designating 2017 as "The Year of the Healthy Nurse," with programs set up to help nurses manage compassion fatigue, moral distress, and burnout.

New Jersey 101.5 and Robert Wood Johnson Barnabas Health are celebrating National Nurses Week as Big Joe Henry visits 10 hospitals thanking nurses for their exceptional work and dedication.
