An injured red tailed hawk perched over a street in Hoboken continues to elude capture.

Residents told NJ Advance Media the grey-and-white hawk has been in the area for nearly a week.  Every time it is approached by a handler from Raptor Trust, the organization working to catch the hawk, it moves out of reach from its railing along First Street.

Residents told the newspaper the bird looked injured on its right side but did not see any blood.
