A New Jersey blogger who publicly complained about Hobby Lobby not carrying Jewish merchandise says company president Steve Green called him to say the retailer is re-evaluating its merchandise selection.

Ken Berwitz wrote a blog post last week saying he would never shop at Oklahoma-based Hobby Lobby. He said an employee told him that Hobby Lobby doesn't stock Jewish merchandise because the Green family is Christian.

But on Friday, Berwitz said Green called him and explained that there is no animosity toward Jewish people and that the company is rethinking how they stock stores.

Berwitz told The Associated Press the conversation was "pleasant" and the situation should be "defused."

The Anti-Defamation League said in a statement that it accepts a public apology released earlier by Green.
