He’s Your Defense, Sandusky???

Many of us saw the interview last night between NBC's Bob Costas and Jerry Sandusky (with his attorney by his side) and were shaking our heads during such answers  as "We were showering, and horsing around, and he actually turned all the showers on, and was, uh, actually sliding across the floor. And we were—as I recall—possibly snapping a towel. Horseplay," when asked about the infamous night McQueary caught him in the shower with the 10 year old.

But here's a piece of information you may not have known about Jerry Sandusky's attorney.  Joseph L. Amendola, at 49 years old impregnated a 16 year old girl!! According to documents filed with Centre County Courthouse, he served as attorney for Mary Iavasile's emancipation petition on September 3, 1996, just weeks before her 17th birthday.  "She had met him through the school district and was interested in law," according to Mary's mother.

Jerry's story was sick in of itself, but having an attorney with that background doesn't exactly help his case in my opinion.
