We honored another hero in blue today as we have done every Friday since the end of 2015. Today's honoree is Morris Township Police Sgt. Sean O'Hare.

Sgt. O'Hare was vacationing in Clearwater Beach, Florida when he spotted a 2-year old child drowning in the water off the beach. Without hesitation, he acted and pulled the child to safety then administered CPR to get the victim breathing again — truly giving this little one a second chance on life.

This incident really highlights the fact that cops are actually always on duty as public servants and protectors. Thankfully Sgt. O'Hare was there and had situational awareness. We're proud to honor him today and look forward to his continued service to his and the greater community.

Thank you Sgt. O'Hare. You are a true New Jersey hero.
